  • Lemon oil, big drop of citrus squeeze, dried tropical extract and oak. Lots of power and substance on the palate that screams grand cru burgundy. The acidity and fruit are perfectly balanced. Consistently my favorite cuvee from the domaine. Clearly the best vintage I had among 00, 05 and 09. 93-94

  • Still very good and probably shows this wine has to be left a decade as it is better than the lauded 2010

  • What a colour! The most brilliant yellow. Mineral notes, lemon and under-ripe pineapple with just the touch of wood; the palate is all about elegance and balance with a long finish. Drank with a stuffed lobster and as good as the match was this wine just wanted to be appreciated on its own. Sublime.

  • Judgment of Madrid, time for aficionados plus a late dinner (Vila Viniteca - Madrid): Real class in a glass despite that vintage and some malicious comments.
Mineral nose, lovely palate, delicate texture, rich aftertaste.
    WOTN among whites.

Clase de verdad en la copa a pesar de la añada y algunos comentarios malintencionados.
Nariz mineral, rico en boca, de textura delicada, postgusto abundante.
Un claro ganador entre los blancos.

  • Full, deep, generous nose. Very powerful and very complex. Still young but not backward. Elegant. Gently oaky. Layers of aroma: Yellow fruit, some white flowers, some oily minerality, some butter, some fresh flowery notes.
Fullish, compact, archetypical white Burgundy palate. Oak, yellow fruit. Very good grip and concentration. Integrated oakiness. Purity of fruit. Intensity in finish.
Tasted blind and compared with 2 Meursault PC and one Chablis GC le Clos, this came out as the WOTN. The intensity in fruit flavour overshadows the oak. The finish goes on for a minute. That's what makes GC if we understand things correctly. Pity that the danger of Premox stops me from cellaring this further. Otherwise it can be cellared 10-15 years more. Very pure expression.

  • Drank at the inaugural "DMK Bookend Burgandy Seasonal Dinner" that involved a white and a red Grand Cru to mark the end of Summer and the start of Autumn. Firstly, the color of this wine reminded me of stunning golden wheat in the fields and the bouquet was of faint lemon scented laundry (thank you CManthei below). This wines hallmark though is its balance and finish, fruit tinged cream and roundness is present early and quickly gives way to a hint of lemons and grapefruit in the middle and then the minerality draws you home to a very long very happy ending. We never felt the acid was high as per other comments here, but I can say the wine paired very well with the chorizo scallop starter and the wood planked salmon and nut based salad main so that may have balanced the acid. Others at our dinner declared it the best white wine to pass their lips and that's hard to argue with, sadly I have only one bottle left which I intend drinking at this dinner next year. BTW in a group of solid red preferred people, the white won the Burgundy shootout

  • Silky smooth, vanilla, crème brulee, high-line acidity and crushed rocks and minerals. This is just pure elegance -- reminds me of clean laundry, apricot yogurt and buttered herbs. My one gripe might be that it's a little tart on the finish, which might be my fault for drinking too early. The finish is 45+ seconds, and I abosolutely love it. This one has age potential, for sure!

  • White Burgundy Grand Cru (AuZone, Stockholm): Light yellow colour. Nose with citrus, pronounced minerality, perfumed, white flowers, a hint of honey, discrete herbal notes. Quite elegant. Rather full-bodied on the palate, strong citrus taste with ripe grapefruit, high acidity, mineral. Aftertaste with grapefruit and mineral. Young, reasonably drinkable now but will gain from further cellaring. 93-94+ p.
Very good nose with a cool impression.
