  • Cork showed signs of seepage, but the fill was up into the neck. Fairly limpid, and very bright for the age. Medium legs. Hugely expressive nose of iron, animale, and slate (and there's even a little fruit still lurking in the background: mostly strawberries). The intial palate is very muted. But this quickly opens up to a nicely balanced mid-palate full of secondary notes of iodine, iron and leather. There's sappiness on the backpalate that really coats the tongue. Not much complexity or length on the finish, but it's clean and everything is in it's place. Nice bottle that's punching above it's weight
