I think most of the prior reviewers of this wine may have had it little young. This wine is in early maturity and a very good dinner wine for a grilled NY strip steak. I paired it with a sweet corn (peaking in MI right now) salsa and the steak and it was very good. Second night paired with a mildly spiced chicken tortilla soup and it was surprisingly good along with the corn salsa. Plums and dark red fruit, nice oaky vanilla notes and smooth tannins make this a good dinner wine especially with grilled meat.

The color is purple to dark garnet and almost completely opaque. The aromas are currant, loam, dark chocolate, and minty hints. The tastes are dark chocolate, currant, bell pepper, espresso, cherry, butter, cola, cedar notes, and subtle spices. The tannins are dusty and fine with a medium finish and some nice body.

Deep ruby purple. Stewed cranberry, menthol, vanilla oak on the nose. Echoed on the palate. Firm tannins on the finish. Classic. Standard. Representative. Nothing stellar, but a good solid Napa Cab. Drink now with an upper-medium grade steak.

This was an nice cali cab. An excellent pairing with our sweet Italian sausage with pasta and marinara. Nice dark ruby color. Nose of dark red fruit and dusty rocks. Great flavors of dark red cherry, licorice, and a little coffee/caramel, brown sugar, date/fig. Will buy this again for sure.

Tasty cab. Nose of ripe cherries, licorice, fig, & burnt caramel. Creamy & smooth mouthfeel. Taste of sweet cherry, a little prune, licorice. A little heat but well balanced. Will buy again.

With Sirloin Steak, Corn on the Cob, mashed potatoes. Dark, clear, young Burgundy - lovely color. Nice nose, clean but a touch subdued. Bright fruit (Jane call it dark cherry), I think a bit of spice, perhaps cloves. Medium body, decent bones.

Nose: Lots of Rutherford dust showing with red and dark fruits. Palate: Surprisingly structured and tannic for a sub $20 Cab (I bought for $13/sale which is like stealing for this quality level) with flavors of dark fruits, spice and a light to medium length finish (after aeration). Very good QPR at $13/btl.

A great staple to add to your cellar, as it defines what a good solid Napa Valley Cabernet can deliver at a low price point. Very structured, smooth and complex. Robust, but fine, fills the mouth with lush cherry and plum and maybe a bit of oak during a nice long finish. Nicely complimented my skirt steak and dark chocolate dessert.

Candy with a hot finish. Found this @ Cost Plus for $8.99, now I see why. Don't buy this wine, had to pour it down the drain... YUCK!!!

Good Cab for the price. Noticed some dusty tannins. Drank over 2 nights. No decanting. Enjoyable.

Opened up nicely once it breathed a bit. Balanced tannins with bold berry flavors. Good with cheese, dessert, maybe salmon.
