Popped and poured with homemade braciola. Very good pairing. Chalky finish is quelled when paired with the right food. Will pair well with most meaty italian dishes.

I concur completely with Paul S.'s review except I felt that the wine had too much of a chalky dry finish for a chianti which is why I gave it a lower rating. Definitely a lower tier chianti for the region. Stayed at a castle within walking distance of the Frescobaldi winery. I purchased a case of just to remind me of the region in which I stayed.

A neat little entry-level Chianti. We had it by the glass at Otto's new casual Italian dining spot, and I thought this was really pleasant for a house pour. It had a classic nose with drifts of earth and summer herbs floating alognside a core of sundried tomato and red fruit aromas. A very warm, very Tuscan nose. Much the same could be said about the palate, which was fresh and lively, with more tomato-ish inflections and juicy cherry notes seasoned with little hints of herb and spice. This had a lovely lightness, with an energetic balance to it and nice silky tannins making it a really friendly drink. All in all, a simple, but well-packaged Chianti that was a great food wine. I enjoyed this.

Smell of citrus peel and herbs. Nice med/full body with great sweet/acidity balance. Strawberry and pomigranite notes with a slightly tart finish. Great easy drink Chianti.

Deep dark fruit, medium+ body. Lots of cherry and tobacco and a bit of earth. Light tannic finish.

Much of the same as my last post. Very dry finish. A little too dry for my liking.

From a half bottle. A bit flabby, lacked freshness in the middle, although lifted on the dry finish.

Took awhile to open up. Good once it did. Give this one a year or two and see where it is.
