Very nice wine that shows again, that 1998 is a right-bank vintage. Dark fruits, cigar box, coffee on nose and palate. Nice tannin structure, good length. Good QPR. Drink or hold! 92+ pts

A bit muted but enjoyable! Still a fair bit of freshness. Agree with prior reviewers that it is straightforward, not overly complex, but nice. Drink now

Beautiful aroma of cherries and still a fair amount of acidity in this Right Bank 1998. Tannins are fading, but it was a pleasure to drink this wine nonetheless while in Chile, a country in which Bordeaux is astronomically priced. I would have given it 88.5, but enjoying it here was a treat.

Tasted November 10, 2007 at an offline. Muted nose giving way to some aromas of cedar, thistle and anise. Fairly straightforward flavors of berries and cherries. Tangy acidity, medium tannins, medium to full body. Hold.

Still some nice fruit left. Great balance and that 13% alcohol elegance that might be lost for ever. Drink now.

Nice old Bordeaux nose. Holding up nicely from magnum. Good, herbal tinged fruit with some tobacco & leather.
