Barolo night at Bishan. Tasted blind. Drank from botle over 3 hours. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of truffly earth, floral rose, ripe red cherry essence, macerated strawberries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (15% doesn't feel like it at all), fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of ripe red cherry essence, macerated strawberries, sour red cherries, fresh earth, crushed stones minerality, emerging leather and bits of truffle. Very long finish. Very good quality. Probably conservative score for now. This could still put on more weight and complexity as it ages over the next 4-5 years. I thought this was 2006 Cappellano. From the Villero cru in commune of Castiglione Falletto.

Red and dry fruit, cherry, plum. High alcohol and acidity, but the tannin not like the classic barolo. The condition is peak at the very beginning and drop quickly after an hour. Bottle variation/storage problem?

Plum and seaweed on the nose. Just over an hour decant Lot of tannins but the fruit and acidity were all there as well so it drank really well. Quite a stunning wine to us
