Second bottle, a little tight on first opening but over the next 2 hrs and then esp on day 2 it opened beautifully. A fair amount of oak and butter but soft and an easy food match. I may need to buy more.

An odd harsh edge in initial opening, I questioned taking a friends advice and buying a few bottles. This blew off fairly quickly, fortunately. As it opened it softened and was much more approachable - light oak and butter, pear and lychee.

Right out of the bottle, i was nervous. Deep golden color and strong oak smell, almost corked. After 30 minutes this subdued and left a powerful chardonnay still fun of oak and ripe fruit, powered by full bodied aromas and long mouthfeel. I would say it peaked about a year ago, but was still worth holding on to experience with a little more bottle age. Drank with slow roasted halibut, Kung Fu Girl Riesling reduction, roasted carrots, snow peas, melted leeks and a side of capellini. Nice Sat dinner with sturdy SRH chardonnay. Glad to have had 6 bottles of this Two Sisters wine over the last 4 years.

Last of a case on discount that we consumed over the past year. Peaked last summer/fall and now seems to be getting a little flabby and oaky. Overall, a nice balance of old and new world.

Tasted briefly, was a big hit among the white-loving crowd at our dinner party. Tasted like a candied, orange/apricot creamsicle, but still holding that acidity to keep things together. Can't wait to pull more...

The wine looks Yellow gold colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Orange, Raisin, Raisin, Peach, Peach, Pear, Oak, Black Pepper, and Orange Blossom. It tastes like Hazelnut, Orange Blossom, and Hay/Straw. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Polished texture. The wine finishes Long.
Liked that there was no bite, it is very smooth, accompanied a Gorgonzola chicken salad perfectly.
Would definitely buy again.

Decanted and placed in the fridge for an hour prior to dinner. Paired with grape/garlic/onion sauce chicken, mixed veggies, and wild rice. Pure gold color and medium/full-bodied. Wonderful nose of apple pie, baked spices, and apricots. Palate flows with ginger, honey, apples, pears, and walnuts. There is a steely, mineral-laced acidity that balances nicely against the buttery oak and vanilla on the finish, leaving a tart apple pucker that lingers for up to a minute. This is a very well-balanced wine drinking great right now, and it went perfectly with dinner. Even won over the "ultra dry" white wine lovers in the family.

Two bottles PnP. Agree with DOBLK. There is a lot of fruit hidden behind the oak. The minerality carries this through. Same results with each. I would really like to see how this integrates on day 2, but the rest of the party drank em all up. I'll have to perform my own experiment soon on one of these. No rating yet, but 90-92?

Big oaky nose and dominant oak on the palate. Some minerals and citrus, but the vanilla and other wood notes overwhelm them for me. I am not a big fan of this style of big rich Ca chardonnay, but if you are this is as good as many that cost much more.

Spectacular wine. Think Kistler, but 2/3 the price. Well balanced, showing oak, almonds and a hint of citrus. This is a white wine I would choose to drink (rarely do I opt for white wine). Wife really digs this as well.

Very fleshy and full bodied. Pale and golden yellow colored. Nose of caramelized apples, apricots, and marzipan. On the palate there are plenty of stone fruits, baked apple pie with all spice and nutmeg woven through the fruit. A really enjoyable chardonnay. Big and bold without crossing the line by becoming gobs of butter.

Finish appears to be more angular than before. Still, great texture and viscosity, with a lengthy, oaky finish.

This needs some air time to really open up and let the oak chill out a bit but then it becomes liquid candy.

Disappointed. After reading the marketing hype and the positive reviews on Cellar Tracker, I was expecting more.
Not nearly as good as Rombauer. Not nearly as much butter and much more oak. Hints of fruit but oak was dominant.
My wife liked it less than I did.
No need to buy more.
