  • Dark Crimson colour. Smoky leather aroma with strong alcohol. Blue berry, raspberry and plum flavour. Inconsistent flavour profile. Not a smooth wine but not as bad as I was expecting given its low price and average reviews.

  • color: purple velvet movie theater upholstery; nose: tiniest scent of earth, but hardly any -- sad!; taste: medium-bodied tangy, rough taste of raspberry x cranberry, medium-length rough finish with faint chocolate notes; overall: rough, unripe-tasting pour with no redeeming features, which in no way delivers the bright, fruity happiness of a good Australian shiraz. This wine is plonk, and I will avoid it.

  • I've heard that I should drink this 2009 vintage before the 2008 - so I did it- Ruby color with fast forming legs and aromas of tobacco and bacon. It's balanced and has flavours of strawberry jam, smokey and oak with a medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - After 1 hour decanting, this wine really opened up with firm but soft tannins and a well balanced structure. Very good by itself, great with pizza. Definitely supports a multiple bottle purchase. I'm still looking forward to taste the wonders coming from the 2008 bottles.
