Very nice Pinot Noir. It held up well after 12 years and was a very nice wine. The wine looks rosy colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry. It tastes like red currant and raspberry. The body is light/medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

We drank this with John's cold smoked salmon and a green salad with Kirsten's berry dressing. Excellent combination! It was light enough to have with fish, smooth. Bottle says toasty vanilla from French oak aging, rose petal and red cherry flavors. (Can't remember)

Little expensive for the flavor but easy tones of smoke and spices. Light airy with cinnamon and spices on the end. Good color with cola and vanilla after taste.

A lovely Russian River Pinot, with all the great typicity you've come to expect from this AVA - Dark, medium/full bodied with a nose of plum, cherry, spice, cinnamon, cola and vanilla, nice structure and balance, interesting, sour, sweet on the palate with very good length, tasty! (90 Points).

Taste sweet, fruity, some oak, acidity on front end that faded during the meal. More like a syrah pinot combo. OK with tomato Alfredo sauce, but not paired well wih blackened yellowtail. May need more aging. Monterrey Cannery Restaraunt in Oceanside, CA- $10 / glass.

A nice weeknight wine. Easy going. Light and adequately balanced. Drinks fine by itself and it pairs with a wide range of food. Very light red fruit on the front and an adequate balance of acid. It feels like a wine built to appeal to a wide general audience. If you want a safe middle of the road wine, this is one. If you want something with character, this will miss.

This is not terrible, but I wish it had a lot more acidity to bring it back into balance. If you like flabby, soft, kind-of-sweet, fruity pinots, then at $10 Rodney will thrill you with great QPR.

Tried and tested, a regular in our cellar and go- to bottle if we don't want to open anything expensive. Solid new world Pinot (no barnyard smell). 2010 is smooth. It spicer than prior vintages which makes it good to pair with red meat.

I enjoyed this bottle, but it's got more bite than I thought a pinot noir would have. Minerally from start to finish not a lot of fruit. I probably won't buy it again because there are other wines I like more for the same price or less.

Whoa, this wine saw a heavy hand on the oak treatment. Distracting actually, off balance. Bright cherry fruit flavors. Very soft at this point so feel comfortable drinking now, probably not worth aging.

Popped and poured. Drank over 3 evenings. Way over oaked on the 1st evening, was OK on the 2nd evening. Best on the 3rd evening when the oak burned off and revealed some modest cherry notes, hence the 84 rating. Definitely decant this one. May improve with some short term cellar time. Not sure if it is worth sitting on 6 bottles to see what happens.

Nose is dark cherry and cigar, along with floral and mineral notes. Palate is dark cherry, blackberry, raspberry, leather, and mineral. Well balanced, with a smooth tannic structure. Very drinkable, especially for the price.

This wine is a nice light to medium body pinot noir. I could pick up hints of cherry in the aroma While the taste had a bit of blackberry along with a light toasted oak.

Good, deep ruby color; more round depth of flavor and "chew" than we expected; very smooth, with a straightforward, easy finish. My impression is that the drinking window given was a bit too short. This wine has potential cellar life beyond 2013 even if it does't improve substantially.

Very pleasing nose, fruit with a slight hint of floral. Very smooth with nice balance between fruit and tannins. Medium finish. Served with grilled teriyaki salmon, leek and goat cheese tart, lemon arugula and basil salad, and fennel and sun dried tomato stuffed mushrooms. Very nice for a summer/spring meal without overpowering the lighter fare. Great QPR. Will buy again.

Cherry and cranberry on the nose, with hints of damp earth and vanilla. Sweet and toasty on the palate, with cherry and cranberry, a little earth, and some floral notes on the finish.

Opened this and it had a very burnt earth/wood aroma and flavor. My wife described it as rubbery tasting. We let it sit over night, not much better. I won't be purchasing this again. I think it's time to move on to Oregon Pinots

Bought at cost through Dukes... what can I say? It's a California Pinot that's been glossed over with enough oak to stave off horrendous imbalance.
