Almost two years since I last tasted this. The wine has come together and the oak has been integrated pretty nicely. There is nice minerality and no lack of freshness and a hint of blackcurrant fruit; the palate is slightly dry and herbal, with a touch of drying oak; decent length. Looks like the vines are still young; the potential should be there.

A tasting at Schloss Reinhartshausen (Vinothek): From recently leased parcels in the Frankenthal vineyard, barrique aged. Lovely sweet oak, not too much vanilla or caramel, nice fruit but not much substance and rather dry.

Mid June 2015, 0.5 L bottle: full crimson; raspberry and strawberry aroma and flavors; medium/full body; medium finish.

Not dissimilar to my previous note; this bottle seemed to have a little more stuffing of ripe fruit. Attractive.
