In a nice spot now. High acidity that has tamed with the years in bottle a bit. Some crunchy red berry fruit, very vinous. Good now and will hold for 2 decades on the acidity.

It was a tough day in many ways. I had to attend a CPR class that was monotonously painful. My football team experienced a painfully embarrassing defeat. And my son blatantly lied to my face. Repeatedly. Ugh. After my wife returned from her orchestra concert (which I could not attend), I decided to pull this. It was our anniversary, after all. Amber in color, almost an aged Sauternes, with no pink, just an orangish brown. But this is still vibrant in sparkle, with a nose dominated by caramel and almond—intense and deep. Whoa. On the palate? Holy cow. This is precisely why you should age Vintage Champagne. Rich, lucious, nutty, decadent. Whoa. 97. thedrunkencyclist.com

Retail $200. A faded orange, almost brown in the glass with that oh so classic older champagne aroma of Sherry--slightly oxidized, even caramalized. The fizz is slight, as one might expect and the primarily fruit is all but faded. What is left is a cooked molasses without the sweetness, a tart caramel with just a slight bubble. I may have waited too long, but man, this is delightful. Whoa. thedrunkencyclist.com

I bought these a while ago, and was sitting on them for a while, not sure of the right time--pretty much the story of my life. I finally decided to pop this with some good friends, since, well, is there a better reason? Little more than a sigh upon opening, and a a pale salmon in the glass. On the nose a bit of that old Champers smell but on the palate, wow. Tons of red fruit and a finish that lasted well beyond the norm. Outstanding+.

Same beautiful onion peel color. The nose is tight at first but after a while shows nice dried fruits, some light strawberries and reductive aromas. Potent mousse, good acidity but a somewhat disjointed finish. I much prefer the other celebris (blanc not rose). Not a good QPR.

Great orange color. Very intense yeast, trouffles nose. Great body, structure and longevity. A food wine. The mouth is definitely much better than the nose at this point.

Provado às cegas para o GG06. Importado pela Expand. Salmão tendendo para alaranjado. Perlage fina e constante. Leve animal, azeitona, bastante seco, mais austero, ótima mousse, acidez agradável, fino e elegante. (B+/A) Excelente

Last bottle. Still good fruit (strawberries). Could have lasted longer but great timing anyway.

This is an excellent champagne. Tight bubbles, not very complex but sweet and well balanced. Sorry my last bottle.

this is excellent, alone and with scallops risotto. One of my favorite champagnes, perhaps slightly past peak.

beautiful color, small bubbles, full of flavor, but subtle. Glad I have 2 more bottles remaining, but seems at peak drinking now.

Mature and may be slightly past prime, but small elegant bubbles and pleasant subtle rose.
