750 ml bottle. Classic Ruby port. Red rim, ruby centre, no sediment. Sweet, jammy, baked plums and spice, hot alcohol on the finish. An enjoyable drink but undistinguished. Not much depth and no complexity. Simple enjoyment.

From 200cl bottle. Uinspirerende nese. Smaker rød port, og det er det fineste jeg kan si om denne. Alkoholen stikker seg ut. Dette var triste saker, men sto til forventningene. Vil ikke sette poeng på dette, men langt ned på 80-tallet

Baked dark berries on the warm nose with some red berry tones, liquorice and dried herbs. Sweet, smooth and full on the palate with red to dark berries and raisiny fruit as well as some liquorice and charcoal notes towards the lengthy finish. Simple but quite nicely balanced.

Youthful, rich purple color. Very rich, sweet and inky nose with aromas of dark berry jam, overripe red berries, peppery spice, some dried figs and a little alcohol. Broad, full-bodied and hot on the palate with flavors of jammy dark berries, ripe boysenberries, some yellow tropical fruits - like hints of pineapple juice and fruit salad - and a little peppery spice. Very mellow tannins and low lacidity, resulting in a simple, dull and heavy Port lacking structure. The finish is sweet and rich, but rather short with flavors of jammy dark berries, cooked plums, some peppery spice and a little alcohol heat.
This is an acceptable basic Ruby: there is nothing wrong here, the wine is just lacking all character and persona. Very generic stuff without much structure. I really find very little use for these Ruby and Reserve Ports other than cooking. If I want a good basic Port, I go for an LBV. If I want something really good, I go for Vintage Ports. A poor purchase at 7,76€ for a 20 cl bottle.

From a 200ml bottle. Ripe dark fruit on the nose. Full bodied, very sweet, some dark ripe fruit, but overall a little flabby and monolithic.
