  • Last one; these have been great. Deep garnet, bricking edges. Smells like dark fruits, earth, graphite, tea, floral, and cedar. Medium body and finish, with flavors of dark fruits, dark chocolate, dark red fruits, orange peel. Nice with our standing rib roast.

  • Shared with family and friends out of less than ideal stems and didn't get to take formal notes, but this was drinking great tonight with a nice aged character coming through, in spite of the cork crumbling. Smooth and integrated with dark red fruits and cedar. Will have my last bottle soon.

  • As this is my last bottle, I think this is a delicious new world cabernet franc with loads of fruit, including boysenberry, raspberry and other dark, ripe fruits. Surprisingly, this was the best bottle out of the 6 that I have had. I think it will last a few more years.

  • While the wine is enjoyable, it’s complexity is lacking. It does have dark red fruit, good acidity and mellow tannins.

  • The wine is very aromatic and the color has softened to a bright red. On the palate, it has boysenberry and blueberry fruit, however, it seems to me that the fruit is fading at this point in time.

  • This Cabernet Franc has loads of fruit, including boysenberry, raspberry and other dark, ripe fruits. It has a dark color, but the rim does have an orange tinges to it. The tannins are soft at this point, so drink up!

  • A very similar experience to the last bottle. However , the fruit seemed to be a little weaker and the finish a little less than last time. Nevertheless, a lovely bottle of wine.

  • This is a delicious new world cabernet franc with loads of fruit, including boysenberry, raspberry and other dark, ripe fruits. It has a dark color, but the rim does have an orange tinges to it. It seems to have a good tannic backbone for it to continue to age a little while longer. But there is no reason to wait to open these.

  • A little too vegetative for my tastes, lots of green pepper, some spice, and a nose full of vegetables. Tasted the same on day 2 as day 1 so it's not improving. I have one bottle left and would sell it if I could.

  • Well made new world cab franc here. Been a min. since I checked in on this guy. Dense ruby coloring with minimal bricking. Earthy aromas of soil, funk, and dark fruits. Silky smooth on the palate, with fully integrated tannins, a fruity, new world constitution, though not obnoxiously so, and flavors of mixed fruit medley (blueberry, blackberry, black raspberry, and black cherry), along with a touch of earthy spice and licorice. Enjoyable for sure, but could use more complexity. Still a damn fine example for the variety.

  • A bit jammy, but very silky and very smooth. Nice dose of pepper. Very well balanced. Like it a lot. 1-2 hour decant.

  • I brought this wine back from Mendoza and boy did I pick a good time to drink it. Popped and poured. Ruby red in color with ripe dark red fruit on the nose. A soft and elegant wine with just a bit of jamminess to the red fruit plus a hint of spice. Finishes clean and long. This seems like the peak for this wine, so drink soon.

  • Beautiful example of a new world cab franc. Nice balance and complexity. Berries, spices, minerals. Drinking very well now but still have some time to go.

  • Opened for an hour. Bitter chocolate, white pepper, mineral, bay leaf, red pepper and blueberry. Dusty tannins and a medium finish. There's a lively acidity and agility, yet thick. Drink now - 2017.

  • 100% Cabernet Franc from Pulenta Estate's own vineyards of 980 m altitude in Mendoza. This has been bottled after 12 months in new French oak. Medium ruby in colour. The opulent nose displays ripe, jammy black fruit along with sweet red pepper, tomato and spice notes. Nicely balanced with a soft, elegant structure, ripe and round tannins with a good, crisp acidity. The aftertaste is fruity with a mineral edge.

  • Going from memory. I can't give this a score because I'm hoping it was a bad bottle. However, I don't this it was. Drank this blind with 5 other cab francs. This was one of the worst of the night for me. The nose was very off-putting - it smelled like rotting vegetables. The wine itself was thin and so green. I simply couldn't drink it - I just can't do this style of cab franc. I was quite shocked to see the scores that were given to this wine.

  • Opened immediately and had a very vegetative nose and typical Cab Franc Characteristics. The body was filled with green peppers, only amplified over time. The body was lacking some depth and was thin. The finish was long and pleasant.
