Garnet in the glass with lovely strawberry and red fruit nose. Flavors include juniper/pine, earth, and mushrooms. Takes some time to open, so expecting day two will be even better.

Rather glorious red fruit on the nose, a bit reductive, or at least "animal" on the palate for a fruit note. Long lingering finish which heads towards that sous bois fruit not. Not altogether joined together between its flavors. Just opened, we shall see where it goes. Again, very lengthy finish.

Drank along with the St. Innocent Zenith. The more Sonoma Coast pinot I have there is a clear definition and flavor profile. Lots of forest floor and bright juicy fruit. This had nice layers of fruit which is still very primary. A very nice wine that needs some serious air or more time in the bottle to settle down a bit.

Very light in color, most flavorful of all Failla cabs (in my opinion), however, Hirsch was similar, yet very light, airy and easy on the palate. Very pleasant. Bought several vintages after tasting just this one.

Acquired new from winery mailing list. Magnum. No fruit. Can only assume damaged in transport. Wine can be disappointing and glorious.

Very nice wine. Subtle, elegant, balanced, integrated but perhaps without tons of character or interest. Very enjoyable.

This was a great on. Even better the 2nd day. Nose opened an hour after opening. Dark fruit with some strawberry. Good length and complexity.

Aged look in the glass. Concentrated fruit on the palate.

Nice, but not great. A bit thin with tobacco, spice and leather tones. I little bit "astringent" or tangy for me. Ken liked it better than I did.

Very sweet, ripe and forward red fruit on the nose and palate. A bit thin on the finish. Slight heat. Easy to like.

Was expecting more. Thinner than I remember with tart fruit. Nice.

Ruby red colour.
This is a great US Pinot. Red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, spice and undergrowth. Hint of plum too. Silky tannin. Bright acid. Good length. Yum.

Fairly bright fruit, tending toward darker flavors. Forest floor emerging. Surprisingly silky texture. Good finish.
