No formal nose - had it with the 2012 vintage. Fun to see the colour difference and that also barbera have the benefits of some rest i the cellar. If you have some bottles left, time to drink up.

A good wine. Looking forward to drink my lat bottle. Will probably try to see how long the Barbera grape could develop. Would wait approx five more years.

Dense totally opaque black/purple colour. Nose is lifted pine resin, supermarket strawberries, beeswax.....but all rather reticent. Palate is tart acidity and tannin with just a little black fruit trying to poke through. A bit dilute in mouthfeel but packs a punch. Needs a lot more time to evolve and show it's true colours.

Very ripe fruit, lots of expensive oak, could have been syrah, big, fruity and oaky - a lot of people would love this, but I found it a bit sickly
