This was taking up a valuable spot in the Eurocave, so decided to pull the cork... which came out in pieces. Oh well. For a ruby port, this is a bit thin on the palate, and mostly the fortifying alcohol dominates. Probably needed to drink this 5+ years ago.

Thoroughly enjoyed this dessert wine, felt like it was within it's peaking window. Not sure I'd age it more though. Deep ruby red color, paired wonderfully with dark chocolate

A killer port, one of the few domestic ports that rivals a nice vintage port from Portugal. Still tannic, but showing some great black fruit. Needs years and years...

Not bad. Still plenty of fruit and a smooth high octane finish. Lots of chocolate.

Very much past its prime. Tasting much thinner since this time last year. Better get drinking on the other bottles...

Went to the Justin tasting room on 4/21/03, one of four wineries I hit that day. Turley was the first stop, this was the second.
Port-like wine, pleasant but nothing special. 86 points.
