Pleasing and subdued this mature Brunello came through with cherry and red fruits with fully relaxed tannins and a medium length finish of cedar. Not big, but paired great with out parmesan encrusted cod and saffron risotto. past peak

similar to past notes. Need about 30 minutes to come alive, but doesn't need the typical or benifit from the typical multi hour decant of most Brunello's

Great representation of a mid range Brunello. Fully mature now and slightly improved from my 2015 pouring. While it drank well over the 4 hrs we had it decanted, it was probably best by the 1st hour. Because of this I would say it's probably hitting it's peak now.

Took an hour or so to soften up. Still has a tannic and acidic backbone. Sour cherry flavors but As noted elsewhere, a little hollow in the mid palate. Smoothed out in hour two. Enjoyable but not great.

This one is ready to go, and although could improve some with cellaring is very approachable now with some decanting. Polished with a nice brick color and very prominent fruit of cherry, pomegranate, and strawberry. Hints of lavender and mild leather with a nice tannic structure in the background. It fails to carry in the mid pallet with a short to medium finish, otherwise this would be amazing. Very enjoyable though.

Not what I expected. Very light and fruity which surprised me given its youth. None of the classic Brunello characteristics. As was said in a prior note, almost like a Pinot. Will see how this evolves but it seems like it is aging fast.

A very nice and dare I say traditional Brunello, the 2007 Collelceto boasts of ripe cherry, subtle amaretto and wonderful saddle leather. The palate follows through nicely and is perfectly integrated. There is some power to be found but this wine is built more around elegance. The balance is meticulously kept and integration will be perfect with another couple of years in the cellar. The acidity is striking and this certainly helps this wine into being a very nice food companion. A very nice effort!

This has it all - fruit, structure, finish. But it is ready and only needs a little time to open.

Lighter bodied and fruitier than many Brunellos, almost like a Pinot, but very good on its own or with food.
