When I last tasted this wine, I mentioned that the strong oak needed time to integrate. Based on this tasting, that is not going to happen before the wine dies. The palate is overwhelmed with strong acidity. I assume that this will continue to win the battle with the fruit.
The nose shows coffee scented oak and a touch of green. The palate is a strong vanilla core with some red fruit, but the acid is really gaining in strength. The green pops back out again on the finish.

At first the nose showed a fair amount of green. Now after 2 hours of air, it is gone. It now shows vanilla, smoke, and blueberries. The palate is dominated by spicy oak, but it does add structure to the wine. In addition to spice and oak, I also find more blueberries. It is monolithic but ends with a long finish. Overall this wine is disjointed and heavy on the oak.

Solid deep rich color, balanced and a long finish. I was amazed. With grilled lamb chops and risotto. Wish I had more.
