Good nose but thin on the palate. Not a bad glass of wine but nothing memorable. Doesn't have the fruit to say Cali or the subtle complexity to say France. I would pass next time at $60/bottle.

Overpriced when compared to pine ridge Napa 2010 for same price. Nice upfront. Red fruit with some sugar. Needs to open up. 1 hour decant. Finish lacking.

I've loved other years of the Hoopes Cab but this one misses the mark. Very uncharacteristic of an Oakville Cab. It was almost like it was a Cab Franc. Berries mixed with Bell peppers. No mid palate at all with a Veggie finish. It is almost like it was picked before the grapes ripened. High acid and funky tannins. A $48 disappointment.

Great for the value (coming from Napa). Approachable now - good tannins so maybe 5-7 years of fun. Not thick and brooding - but flavorful with a nose of dark cherries and slight earth - napa earth that is. palette was not fruit forward but the fruits were pronounced with a good finish. Good mouthfeel - What I liked most about this wine was the racey minerality of it.

This a well balanced Oakville cabernet. Great juice and 10 years in the bottle makes it perfect to consume. Drink up over the next two years.

Red/black cherry, toasty oak, earthy component to it, nicely balanced, good finish.

Decent well priced cab. Oaky, benefitted from air. Would definitely drink again.
