Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2014-02; Importer tasting; South West France: The bouquet shows ripe dark forest fruits like blackberries and blueberries and is a bit dusty. On the palate the same fruits which are very ripe, so there is some sweetness. Also herbs, vanilla and clove. Ok acidity, tannin and a good length. Pleasant wine. 86 - 87

A touch of bottle variation here - this bottle was much more open and rounded than previous bottles. Like a baby Bordeaux with more nuance. A touch of orange peel, green tangy fruit then a dollop of tangy soil. Very good stuff for under £10.

Impressive. Packed full of tangy Gaillac character that is beefed up a bit with nice leafy Cab Sauvignon and peppery Syrah. Tangy finish with some impressive depth. I'd be inclined to leave it another year or two to let it stretch its legs. Impressive for 10 euros and more interesting than an entry level Bordeaux.
