Decanted for two hours; no sediment. Bright ruby red. Pleasant nose of red fruits. Medium-bodied juicy fruit, primarily tart cherries, on the palate balanced by lively acids and very light tannins on a medium length finish. Lacks depth and complexity, but a straightforward, enjoyable wine. At $28, a reasonable QPR. Probably in its best drinking window, and this window should be good for at least another couple of years.

PnP. Bright medium light red; long "legs". Ripe nose of red fruits and Sangiovese spice and dust; medium weight on the palate, nice finish with some relatively modest tannins. Should go well with a spring vegetable pasta. This is very enjoyable although not very complex and is drinking nicely.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity. This is lacking some depth and the tones of red fruits, spices, and some wood tones are more on the simple side.
Overall: This is a decent Chianti Classico Riserva. The tones are nice, but they are lacking the depth that I would expect from a Riserva.

Still drinking well. The age is starting to come through but the darks fruits are still lush and full. There is a hint of tobacco on the finish.
