Surprise. Fantastic balance. Nice tannin and acidity to match the slightly sweet dark fruit. Long aftertaste with good minerality and almost salty anis taste. If all well-priced bordeaux was like this.. drinks perfect now but still has many years.

bottle was given maybe 20 minutes of air time. Perhaps it needed more. Each tasted offered some candied/baked cherry's, a hint of 'earth' with medium body then after the swallow, the wine stopped...hit a wall. Little flavor followed after that first pass over the palate and it was almost bitter. Not sure if it was corked or flawed. but, at its low price-point, it's a roll of the dice

Quite good. Bordeaux dirty sox but more fruity and less tanins than more expensive. From Costco. Was 14 bucks. Great value. Rated even higher second day. — 9

Dark ruby color with a slight ruby rim. The bouquet is distinctly Bordeaux, with black current, black cherry, leather, smoke and forest floor. The palate adds tart blood orange, rhubarb and licorice notes. The wine is well balanced with slightly high acidity and tannins. It finishes with medium length. For the price this is a good wine to drink now, although I'm not convinced it has the structure to age significantly.

Blind tasting of Grand Cercle wines 2011 vintage: Part I (Château Bellefont-Belcier): Stemmy nose. Lacks personality, a bit thin and unsubstantial and the finish echoes pyrazine...
