Cloudy (both bottles) and diminished nose. Clearly past it's prime. However, still enjoyable with no real negatives. Lingering finish of leather and a bit of spice.

Dark cherry, brambly with pleasant smokey herbal undertones. Fulfilling palate-coating chewy texture. A handsome wine that is peaking out it's window to watch a graceful sunset. A slight fade, just a hair, after three hours in bottle, but still showing plenty of grippy tannins and some leather on the finish indicating that it should last for years more. This one brought pleasure and satisfaction.

Dark, ruby red in color. Dark spicy, smoked green pepper followed by a silky smooth, medium bodied finish. Oak hints abound, but it only adds to the overall texture of the wine. Tannins are not prevelant. I think the wine is ready to consume, maybe another 1-2 years in ideal cellar conditions.

very smooth, both on the nose and the palate. Well-balanced fruit and smoothly intergrated tannins. Not very complex, and not very ling finish, but nicely satisfying.

Huge red fruit on the nose. Very primary, with some licorace and minty notes. Med-full body, and very enjoyable and distinct. Held up brilliantly the second day, with the licorace becoming the dominating characteristic. A great wine for those who like Italians.

Beautiful silky blackberry nose. Blackberries and spice, maybe pepper. Felt like it had a short finish. More blackerries and spice and some nice oak notes showed up with dinner and after the bottle had been opened over an hour.89 points. Recorked and tried again two days later and it was even better, overall much smoother, the finish was lingering with some pepper spice and nice oak notes, 90 pts .CLD

Love this wine. Complete fusion of old world and new world. Tannic Sangiovese and fruity and full bodied Cabernet. Could drink this every day and not be tired of it.

Tasted in double-blind fashion at Vintage Wines, Ltd. Bottle provided by Dean Lycas. Bright disc. Opaque black robe with purple rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense aromas of blackberry, underbrush, earth and vanilla. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, medium coarse tannins and hot alcohol. The flavors mirror the nose. Medium, slightly hot finish. Could likely benefit from some additional time in the bottle.

Has a great nose with blend of sanngiovese and cabernet. Very dry finish initially that was smoother (altough still quite dry) as the wine opened.

[Eggplant, tomatoes, pasta] Red fruit, olives, meaty. Lacks the great fruit and concentration of the 2001, though not a bad wine.
