Getting to the end of its life and getting a little flabby (like all of us). Very big structure. Lots of pear, lychee, floral and big mouth feel. I've had 2 vintages of this now and want to try a couple more. Hopefully we go back to the restrained mode. Still a good drink.

Yellow colored with slow legs. Aromas and tastes of mango, peach and pineapple. Creamy/honey-like body with medium acidity and surprising sweetness. Nice finish. It has the normal highly perfumed scents for a gewurztraminer, but it was sweeter than I expected and lacked the typical spicy notes. You might not want to drink this by itself. However, I found it delightful with some smoked almonds. Since the wine wasn't what I was expecting, I almost graded it down, primarily due to the sweetness. Then, by focusing on the wine in hand, as opposed to expectations, I realized i really like it.

This was not nearly as good as the 2009. It was much more sweet with less structure. Honey and melon flavors. Pity because I really like the 2009 which became an easy drinking standard for me.

I'm sorry but I don't get this wine or it's WS 93 rating. I just received a shipment this week and my wife and I were very excited to try it. What a disappointment! It was like drinking a flower coated in honey. Way too sweet for our palate (and my wife enjoys sweet wines). Five bottles for sale - cheap! Anyone?

Very tasty. Apricot, lychee, honey, and floral notes. Definitely has a fair bit of sweetness for a Gewurtz, but has enough acidity to back it up. Held up well over a few days. A great value for the price.

MIL calls this her favorite wine of her lifetime. Absolutely stunning. Just when I feel it builds a bit too much sweetness, it evolves and checks me to another facet.

Rich goldernrod hue. Gobs of apricot, honey, canned peaches. Floral notes of honeysuckle and candied lemongrass, lingering boiled sugar cane stalk and white flowers. Very weighty and glycerine, off-dry. Mother in law remarked it was absolute silk across palate - I would agree. 50/5/12/8/8/8

Long life on this vintage, and still drinking well, but a good time to drink what you have. Delightful.

One of my favorite summer wines. Good viscosity and a dose of sweetness. Lovely honey with a burst of grapefruit and melon.

Off dry. Floral nose of honeysuckle and apricot with lychee and salted honey on the palate. Lots going on with this wine!
