Notes of WWReport are spot on. This is one intriguing blend with a great QPR at $25. Don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this suave but complex offering from Northstar.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like gooseberry, blackberry and blackberry. It tastes like gooseberry, blackberry and black currant (cassis). The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Interesting red blend of Merlot and Syrah. Nose was mostly merlot, with cherry and raspberry. Flavor was more complex with some olive, dark chocolate and a fair amount of oak. Liked this more than I remembered.

Garbage nose with cough medicine to entice you. Has no resemblance to Cabernet, wine nor anything you'd want to imbibe. Where do I get a refund?

A concentrated, decently structured and balanced, fruit forward, oaky WA red blend. Not at all bad, yet nothing to get excited about.
