  • This was bottle 13 out of a 18 bottle lot bought at an auction (for next to nothing). There is some bottle-variation and clear signs the cellaring has not been ideal. Yet, thusfar, all wines have survived and show similar hightlights. Some a little better than others. On the nose, dried apricots, pineapple, walnuts and some slight oxidation but not disturbing. On the palette, the acidity keeps this wine nicely alive, complemented with dried fruits and some nutty tones. Remains a very interesting wine to drink.

  • The first, and most suspicious looking bottle from an 18 bottle lot bought at auction (at rock bottom price of €3/bt). The completely soaked cork lowered my expectation. Colour: gold/yellow. Initial nose; slight touch of oxidation; but then opening up to attractive nuts, dried herbs, candied&dried fruit, yellow apple. On the pallette, a good length and body, again, nuts, apples, herbs. It has just a touch of oxidation and a tiny bitterness in the finale, but not unpleasant at all. Looking forward to sample the bottles in better condition.
