Much preferred, by about 20 knowledgeable tasters, over the Cheseaux (sp?). Why? Darker, denser, more fruit driven here. Does that make it better? Maybe so. Both were delicious in any case.

Wow, what a sweet perfume. Of course I am coming off of the same bottle that was just corked. More savory and rich on the nose than the Cheseaux (I am inclined to think far more the wine yet that may be unfair). Tight as a drum on the back, less high tonned then the Cheseayx, but very, very seductive. If holds onto its consume like aromas this is a winner.

Even in a so-so year this is a really nice wine. Under the radar producer. Classic MSD. Great value.

North Berkeley Wines New Release Tasting (Presidio Golf Course, San Francisco): Bigger and broader than the Cheseaux with lovely sap and texture. Crunchy combination of black and red fruit. Typical Morey and not far off the quality of the 2010 Cheseaux. Well done.
