Last bottle. Two bottles ago, I had a bad cork which led to the wine being well below par. The last bottle was OK....both the cork and the drinking experience. This bottle had a bad cork (very difficult to extract..….crumbled), but the drinking experience was OK. My experience is likely a warning to those out there that still have bottles of this one. It is not likely I am the only one that has experienced cork deterioration with this wine......the bottles have been well stored.

My last bottle of this one had a bad cork.....which led to a very so-so drinking experience. The cork in this bottle was OK. So the last bottle was a one off situation. This wine has been a great value, and this bottle was back to that standard.

Tasted this three years ago and from my notes it continues to be top wine. Fruity yet traditional European went well with grilled herbed chicken and grilled pork chops.

Have liked every bottle of this wine.....a great, great, value. Very deep and dark. However, I have a sense that this one may be ready to tire. I am going to put my remaining bottles in the drink soon section of my Wine Room.

A supremely good wine for pairing with almost every food, with the acidity to brighten bland foods, the tannin to clean out meats and fatty foods like sausage and cheeses, and delicious fruit to make a fruitless food more tasty and complex. Opaque with an inch pour, fragrant black cherry and blackberry, dense and smooth texture, self cleansing acidity and tannin, and years of superb drinking left.

Good balance of red fruit with cocoa and a bit of tobacco. The oak has calmed down, but there are still notes of toast and vanilla. This is definitely not a pnp, and needs at least a couple hours of decant time to reveal its nuances and more complex layers.

Very good and up to the WA rating. Decanted for an hour......need to do so for a little longer. Was a little better the second night. In a great drinking zone right now.

Pretty decent tempranillo. Loaded with oak and I had a hard time picking up the other subtleties of the wine. Some vanilla bean and creme de cacao along with black cherry and some violet notes. Medium body with medium mouth feel. Decent finish nice for the QPR.

This is getting better. More red ripe fruit. Some tobacco & cigar box. Nicely balanced acidity with rich lush raspberry mixed with leather and earth. Not dense but showing some nice complexity and depth. The finish is okay and is the only thing lacking in my book.

Oaky this was surprisingly good. The nose was of red fruit. Some raspberry, sour cherry maybe a hint of dill as well. This really opened up nicely in the glass and paired well with grilled ribeyes. Lots of acidity with some structure. Not a big overly tannic wine but very approachable and definitely something to drink now or at least in the next few years.

Deep, aged purple color. Firm without being overpowering. Had a decent balance of fruit and acidity. Good complement for a dish of lamb chops and polenta, mushroom ragout.

I love this blend which has soft fruit taste, and subtle hints of oak and chicolate

Bon habituellement. Trop oxydé cette fois, saveur de gros raisins et présence forte d’alcool. Trop longtemps en carafe(6h) je présume

This wine has been a winner from the start. However, I think it should be drunk soon. This bottle was a little off from prior tastings.

Aromatic, spicy cooperage, cherry/currant fruit and ginger on the nose. Ripe and spiced flavours on the palate with an evolving, woodsy finish.
4/5

Excellent. This bottle was lightweight and thin when opened but in about an hour it became fantastically complex and delicious.
