Last of the 12s and like all EK roses, it is always the best of the bunch. Integrated strawberry, mineral, and chalk notes. Rich but dry and somehow austere.

Showing much better than upon release. Added interest in the nose, and the palate has come together nicely, no longer with a hollow note and disjointed flavors. Matched well with peppered tuna.

I liked this. Color was blood-orange, and the flavors were strawberryish with lots of chalky overtones. Savory finish. As ever with Eric Kent, the wines get better with a bit of time. I am still enjoying the 2011 roses (totally different experience after a year of bottle time), and wanted to open this to compare. Think this will be really hitting its stride next spring, but I enjoyed it more than the 2011 at this stage of its development so am looking forward to seeing where it is in April 2014

Pleasant but a one-note wine, as opposed to the 2011 version. Somewhat lighter in body, and the roundness and pinot fruit which was so doiminant in the previous version in missing here. It is a fine choice for an evening on the deck this summer, just a bit disappointing in context.

Killer. Strawberry, watermelon, and minerals. Just right.

Sweet tasting rose. Somewhat one dimensional (if roses can be anything but). Very good wine, fun for hot summer days. GOOD.
