Pours out a coppery rose color with aromas of citrus and tea rose, the Tavel is crisp with a good minerality and a soft undercurrent of tea rose flavor.

Strawberry and raspberry on the nose. Strawberry and raspberry continues on the palate along with pomegranate. Good acidity and structure. Long finish with a slight bitterness at the end.

PnP. Didn't take detailed notes. Had some good "weight" but was maybe a bit more round than I was expecting. Pleasant on our first nice spring day but not a wow bottle.

This had more tannin and red wine characteristics than my previous Tavel roses. It was served straight from the fridge--probably 40F. Only when it hit 60F was it truly enjoyable. The fruit blossomed and balanced out the dryness. Very enjoyable and unique.

this vintage seems to have a bit more oak than any other vintage ive ever tasted of this wine. not too overdone, just a bit weird. the acidity was not as bright with this vintage either.

Meh. Ripe peach, melon, watermelon, strawberries. Rather full-bodied for rose. Not particularly mineral or complex, and it has that slightly hollow metallic bitterness in the midpalate that I find is characteristic of rose, even the good ones, and which is why I don't like rose that much.

Do you like apples? I got some pink lady apples on the nose and on the palate. Decent but not memorable. However, rose is neither my love nor my forte, and I drank this while I was coming down with a cold so you should probably give more weight to other tasters' notes. I have had some very complex roses in the past that I enjoyed, but I wouldn't put this into that category.

Pale pink color. Very subtle nose - red fruits and rocks. Medium bodied, pretty viscous for a rose. Good acidity with mineral notes and a touch of spice. Paired well with some chèvre.

Nearly neon pink in color. Nose of strawberries, thyme and minerals. Bright with zingy acidity on the palate. Melon and strawberry flavors are accompanied by a savory note. I paired this with home-made fried chicken and it was magical. The wine had enough acidity to counteract with the fat in the chicken and enough body to stand up to the flavor. A consistently great Tavel.

Color soft pastel pink. Gentle bouquet of strawberries, raspberries, rose water, and mineral. Flavors of strawberry, rhubarb, apple and minerals with an emerging metallic note. Fairly low complexity and a modest finish. I had hoped the Tavel minerality would give this more distinctiveness, but it did not stand out. Overall a nice Rose, but left me yawning.

2011 Rosés (Beltramo's, Menlo Park, CA): Interesting nose of melon with a hint of herb. Light bodied with medium acidity. Mix of tart and ripe strawberry, tart watermelon. Nice acidity and balance.

One of the better roses I've had. Not on the light side but a bit deeper and richer than most.

It has ripe strawberry fruit on the front end and finishes with grippy lemon rind and grapefruit flavors.

From 375, muddled but pleasant; I'd prefer more zing, or more substance, or preferably both

Very dry; showed typical aromas/flavors of Tavel - strawberry, rose pedal, dried herb notes.
