Seems the core is missing. Not much fruit left. We felt it passed the peak or just not interesting from the beginning. After the night, it shows more pronounced earth smell - dirt, mushroom, cedar. But it still lacks intensity and fruit.

The last of a half dozen. My last note was negative, I would put the difference down to bottle variation as these have rested side by side under the same conditions. Vibrant and still full of fruit. Smooth tannins and some umami, mushroom and forest floor. Long finish with plenty going on. Makes the last bottle that was poor all the more bitter, as it should have been great. Cork closures rule?

My first review on here in a long time. Very classical Corton Grand Cru. Similar notes to the positives already listed from others. Wine is just firing on all cylinders tonight. Reminds me of some greats 70s Cote de Beaune Premier/Grand Cru Pinot that I’ve had in the past. This is an outstanding bottle of 2011 Red Burgundy!

The wine was flat and past it. Colour, still vibrant, and the ullage was high, not showing any signs of premature oxidation. Disappointing all the way around, not looking forward to the second bottle as I believe this is likely to be a fault not just bottle variation

Eye: Crimson Nose:Violets, rose pedal, black cherry, wood, spice Palate: Funky earth, dried black fruits with some menthol spice on the back end.
Overall this wine is very big and structured and needs at least 3 years and preferably 5. It was quite lovely and i did enjoy this. Looking forward to see where this is in time. Enjoy!

Stony, meaty, mineral - beautiful fruit. Sensual palate. What a finish. 92+ - will get so much better. Guess this will start drinking really well 8-9 years from the vintage.

Very strange. First dominated by oak, then the wine felt diluted. Lacking fruit. Too young? Maybe, but i do not think that would be the only problem
