Dark ruby red for a Pinot; rich aromas of dark fruit with some strawberries and tea; medium-full bodied, good level of integration and tannins; dry, rich dark fruit flavors with some oak. The finish was long, dry and clean with a little sweetness.

Very fun wine. Looks deeper and richer than your average Pinot, and does provide more tannins and a richer palate. The nose screamed pinot with a little more brambles and dark fruit. More body than your average Pinot as well. Almost like a Moulin a Vent Bojo. Low alcohol. Well done.

Very intriguing wine; one that draws you in to find out what it has to offer. First Pinot Meunier I’ve had as a single varietal still wine. Tasted blind, the nose would lead me toward a Cotes du Rhone, as I picked up herbal notes along with singed wet straw, as well as some dried cranberry and cherry. On the palate, this veers more towards a Pinot Noir, but with more herbal action that’s reminiscent of an Oregon Pinot. The layers unfold nicely on the palate. I really enjoyed this.

First Meunier I have liked bottles as a still wine. Nose of black cherry and green produce. Very vegetal. Violets, herbs and flowers. Savory on the palate with earthiness, dark plum and hints of blackberry. Cherry compote, violet, lavender and earth. Nicely constructed, which I scored on higher as I just don't have a taste for this varietal on its own.
