  • Lovely Margaux. Doesn't have the perfume nose I was expecting, but all in all a very tasty wine. Definitely improves with decanting. There is better value Bordeaux out there though for sure.

  • I agree that this vintage could lay down for at least a couple more years. But this is a refined, nicely structured cabernet/merlot blend (75%-25%) with nice undertones of current, blackberries, plum and cherries with structured acidity and pleasantly oaked. Decanted for an hour and served with charcoal-grilled rib eye steaks. Very nice wine that will only get better in your cellar.

  • Decanted about an hour. Deep ruby rimmed purple in glass. Medium legs. Nose of boysenberry, oak, graphite. *Heavy merlot on palate of baking spice, plums, blackberries, with a smooth oak and cherry finish. Very elegant and smooth, polished tannins. I think this needs a little more aging, its a bit too firm right now.

*Correction: I guess it is more cab than merlot, but I tasted more of the merlot on the palate.
