Looks like we waited to long with this bottle. Stored in cellar conditions since purchased. Opened and knew instantly it did not hold up. Bummer, the other bottle we had two years ago was great

This needed an hour to an hour and a half to open up and reach a decent drinking level, but even then the balance between tannins softening and the acidity just never hit the stride it could. If I had another bottle I would keep it down for another couple years and then either decant or soft-open for an hour, and expect that such a wine is the best these bottles can muster. Still potential left to be had, it wasn't bad to drink right now, but it left something to be desired.
Wait, and drink down the road, if you have one.

Barnyard and dark fruit aromas. A little heat on the back end. Smooth taste. Decent finish. Not overly fruity in taste. Earthy taste with hints of plum.

Classic cedar and pencil lead nose showing some real fruit interwoven. Slight (emphasize, slight) harshness on front with blurred tannins floating on rich fruit. Developing nicely

Fruity nose with cedar notes on back becoming more evident after opening. Soft front of palate with distinctive CS tannins coming through towards the end. Black fruit dominate the back of the palate

Good wine but Washington reds always seem to have less structure and body for me other than the pure merlots.

Improving as it ages; pencil lead and muted black fruit. Palate developing a creamy softness with nice layers of tannins, lingering juicy finish

Potential for 91 rating, in due time.
