This wine has some things going for it - deep color, fairly intense fruit, and some complexity. What holds it back is excessive top-of-mouth plummy sweetness, not balanced by tannins, acidity or complexity, which makes it seem rather one dimensional. Apart from that, the dark berry flavors are very nice. It would probably go well with a BBQ with a sweet sauce.

2010 Passing By tasted 8/31/16: I always am impressed with Jada's wines at the tasting room. There they are young and vibrant. Then I pull one out of the cellar and find it has lost its bloom and has become soft and fleshy. For me now, these wines are not for cellaring past a few years. I will be drinking up before adding more to my cellar.

Refrigerated for 30 mins as we took to an outdoor concert...should have decanted and put back in bottle as it was tight but very good.

Open and let sit for a good 30 minutes. Or, take a sip when opened and then drink 30 minutes later and experience the difference. A great surprise.
