Whow!

Slow-oxed for 1 day prior to serving into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Root” day): Pale garnet to the eyes.
Very pure fruits and smoky notes. The flavour profile reminds me of the Roagna 1989 Barbaresco Riserva tasted. Still greatly structured but certainly enjoyable now. Minerality driven.
95 points easy for my liking.
Camphor notes with great red berry fruits as support.

This was in terrific condition. It started with some leather, tobacco, wild sage and rosemary notes. With air, out came dried figs steeped in brandy. It filled the mouth with flavour and whilst structural elements are relaxed it still has such great freshness and verve. Every sip is thoroughly engaging and it gained weight as we reached the end of the bottle. A joy to drink.

Slow-oxed for 10 hours prior to serving into Lucaris Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Pale orange garnet to the eyes, only fine deposits.
Aromatically even more intense than the previous bottles. Smoke and florals. Mature red cherries and berry fruits.
94 points easy.
