  • Expressive, open, full and still young nose. Determined with wet stone, granite, luxuriously intermingled with yellow and red apples as well as a perfect hint of honey. Absolutely lovely stone minerality.
Medium-dry on the dryish side. Full with a fabulous grip. Austere in the best sense. Complex, elegant, long and iron-hard. Balance and Power! Magnificent Riesling!

  • Spectacular. I'm amazed how well this is showing right now, and I really wish I had bought a few more bottles. Pure, vibrant red fruits, limes and peaches up front tinged with developing creamy and smoky notes, and then there's a wash of stone and mineral salts on the back end. The balance here is stunning with bright acids balancing the sweetness perfectly, and just absurd length. Just a fantastic Spätlese.

  • Absolutely fabulous spatlese; luscious red fruit, crunchy slate and nascent elements of petrol and wilting flowers wrapped up in a well balanced package with enough acidic lift to carry the weight. Great impact across the palate, with a super long finish. Supremely delicious and reminiscent of a good bottle of Donnhoff's Kirscheck.

  • Drank from .375ml bottle. Aromas of mainly apples with some stone fruit, white flowers, minerals and a touch of petrol. Good acidity and well-balanced with good length, but perhaps lacking a bit in complexity. Neverthless, very good.

  • Perhaps the best bottle I've had yet; bright fruit tinged with smoke, petrol and floral notes over a stony mineral base with lots of depth and fantastic balance, elegant with a sense of restrained power and serious length. Fantastic wine!

  • Really great stuff, combining ripe red fruits, peaches, lime and minerals with the beginnings of developed creamy and smoky flavours. Very ripe and deep, but there's really good acidity here keeping everything in balance and finishing very long. Fantastic.

  • Packed with tropical fruits, touches of honey and red fruited elements with a core of minerals beneath. Very well balanced with good acidity balancing the copious sweetness and a long finish.

  • Ssweet nose of brown sugar, melon and minerals. Quite rich and concentrated and balanced by good acidity. Really succulent with flavors of ripe lime and melon fruit. Finishes like a cold freshwater stream with minerals and a fair amount of sweetness. A heavier style than a typical Mosel and not as slaty but fuller-bodied with fineness and good complexity. Balanced to age.
