  • Weekend in the UP; 3/24/2017-3/25/2017 (Iron Mountain, Michigan): Nose: The nose is gorgeous and flowing with rose petals, red cherries, licorice, roasted herbs, tar, raspberries, earth, truffles, balsamico, and some mint. The nose is perfumed and elegant with excellent depth.

Taste: Medium bodied with high tannins and high acidity. The feel is elegant with the tannins being silky backed up with red cherries, rose petals, leather, truffles, tar, raspberries, balsamico, and some mint notes.

Overall: This is a pretty, refined, and mature barbaresco.
