Tasted deep in the D-V cellars, disgorged à la vollée. Still showing some fizz as if was disgorged in front or us. Real layers of depth or the nose. Less oxidised than the 1976. Enormous concentrated layers of complexity. Coffee is the most prominent flavour on the finish. But there is so much going, real rich earthy flavours also buttery toffee. A historic wine.
