Wine Tasting for Wife's Bunco Group (Crysal Lake, IL): Great value, one of the best under $5 white wines made. Aromas/flavors of apricot, asian pear and grapefruit in the mouth. Acidity balances out sweetness to make this a very good food wine.

Thin yellow color, aroma sweeter than the taste. Middle is a lot smoother than the approach would suggest, mellow compared to the Chateau Ste. Michelle, short finish. I'd agree with WS that this is one of the best Gewurz in the state, a pleasure to drink with parmesan; will try next time with Thai. For the price, something to stock.

Nice straw colored wine with flavors of honey, melon, and citrus. The finish was spicy and refreshing.

July Wine Tasting, 17 wines, Crystal Lake, IL (NW Suburbs Chicago, Crystal Lake, IL): Nice value for WA. Gewurtraminer. A tad sweet, but balanced with acidity. Poured this wine at Rehersal dinner and it was a big hit.

Tasty, slightly sweet, insufficient acidity to balance the sweetness.

Good, basic, sweet and spicy flavors; made for a pleasant aperitif and a nice soft start to the evening; still, I prefer the Alsatian versions
