  • Easily could have mistaken it for a Barolo in a blind tasting. Still a bit on the tannic / austere side. Whether that will change in the upcoming years I cannot predict, given the lack of experience with these wines.

  • It has the profile of a Barolo but with a more pronounced mineral character and sweet herbs. The sweet part, which is also marked by sweet cherry, is a bit too dominant, preventing a perfect balance but it remains an interesting wine.

  • Really interesting complex wine. Needed a good airing. Lovely perfumed nose. Then bitter streak, like in Campari. Bitter cherries, cranberries, redcurrants. Tannins very forward and indeed a bit furry. Plenty acidity. Fine not voluptuous or rich. Good length. Needs food too. More than enough alcohol but not hot. But quite fascinating, explore further!

  • Love it, perfect with homemade pizza done on the BBQ. Wonderful, red fruit with strong tannic backbone, lots of complexity and minerality popping through.

Grand bien me fût. Un autre vin accessible avec des notes de fraises sur une belle complexité et une profondeur qui en fait un très beau vin. La longueur est bonne. 92 sur 100.

  • Decanted for two hours and followed for two more. Expressive nose of red cherries, earth, wet wood, new leather, and a hint of varnish/VA. Juicy cherries, earth, and a little oak on the palate. Tannins are quite firm and furry so it's hard to get a read on the palate at this point. Nice finish. There's something good here but it's so young and firm that it's hard to know for sure.

  • The nose was refined and classy, yet constantly evolving, with cherry skins, burnt wood, dusty spice, citrus, minerals, and hints of animal musk. At times it was the bouquet of a young wine and at others, I would have thought this to be a well aged Sangiovese. On the palate, dark red fruit swirled around the senses, cherry, cranberry and plum notes lingered throughout with a tannic spine and stern acidity. A savory note with something I'll call crushed plum and clove lingered long on the finish--as if this was just tasted along with a well seasoned steak in a wine reduction sauce. This wine is a baby, it needs five or more years in the cellar and will likely bring much joy when it emerges again.
