I know its Syrah, but if Syrah is Northern Rhone then this is closer to South Australian Shiraz. Not quite, there is a bit of earthiness at the back of the mouth, but more fruit up front. Very nice.

Nice and juicy Syrah. Reminds me of some Rhône wines, some rustic woody notes but predominant blackberries, pepper, and violet. The acidity is there and keeps this wine refreshing and juicy but very well balanced also, nice complexity. Easy going with anything, would reccommend to anyone and will buy again! Nice QP.

I really enjoyed this wine with a wild boar casserole. It was not a blockbuster Australian Shiraz but had a more restrained style, slightly sweet, tannins noticeable but not overpowering. For the money I thought it was absolutely excellent and will be buying more.

This wasn't anything special to me, so I'm not sure where the WA 93 came from. I don't think it was past its prime since it did improve after an hour or so, consistent with Lemmy-W's note. I think there are better wines for $19 out there. We'll see if my opinion changes with my other bottles.

Great QPR. Allowed bottle to breath for 2 hours before consumption during next few hours. On the nose this wine is powerful and slightly balsamic. Taste is fruity, smooth and warm.

Enticing nose. Briary blackberry palate with crushed violet on the finish. Juicy, sweet and very drinkable. Reasonably priced at $18.

I'll improve it a bit on this bottle. I like the dark berry flavors on day 2.

Prominent nose. Rustic style Syrah, with wild berry, cassis, briar. High acid, slightly sweet, soft tannins make for a versatile food wine.
