This was everything one could have wanted or expected the wine to be. the green flavors of its youth have evolved to cigar box/tobacco aromas. ....expressive on the nose and palate, with smooth but present tannins. This was one of those bottles one opens expecting 'nice' and it was so much more than that. This has developed and improved in bottle, unlike so many Cal Cabs and Bordeaux blends. I can't see this getting better, but what do I know? 92-93 points.

This is drinking very well now. The green notes of its youth have evolved...fruit notes somewhat subdued...well balanced, tannins are smooth, but retains sufficient tannin and acid to suggest it can go a bit longer.

nice medium to full bodied calcab drinking well...the hint of green in a bottle a couple years ago now seems to have evolved to add some complexity......enough remaining tannin to give structure, but my no means excessive....I'm curious to see what evolution a couple more years might bring 92ish

4th bottle of the 6 that I purchased a couple years back. First review, as the prior bottles seemed tight. Now this is shining. Very mellow, not at all a fruit bomb, but a persistent mid-palate and lively finish with well-integrated and hefty tannins. Delicious.

Deep purple-garnet in glass, with engaging aromas of blackcurrant and leather, palate shows intense flavors of cassis, baked blackberry and black cherry, framed with heavy-toast oak and grippy tannins. At first, oak was overwhelming the fruit, but after about an hour open, the flavors were integrating well. Very enjoyable, and terrific with a charred rare NY steak. Long and lipsmacking finish as well.

Slow Ox under VinVac two nights. This is still dominated by oak. Plenty of olive brine on the nose with blackberries and other black fruit. Rough tannins on the long finish.

Utterly uninteresting Napa cab in $35-40 range. You can pickup Napa Cab Sauv at a supermarket or Costco and get the same drinking satisfaction; sure the flavor profile won't be the same but this is about as middle of the road won't-often-anyone as it gets.
Save up and spurge on an $80 bottle or take a chance on 4 $10 bottles, either case will result in a more interesting experience.
Very good. Dark berry fruit on the nose and on the palate. Full body with good structure and a long finish. Should improve with age. Agree with other notes that this has more of a Bordeaux character than a California Cab. Either way, very nice.

Bordeaux like, with a Napa flair? What the hell am I talking about? Priced right. Just a decent napa cab. Nothing to remember, but nothing to avoid either. Great color, medium body with a decent finish. Drink Mon - Thurs.

Good and somewhat atypical Napa cab. Atypical in that there is a fairly solid green streak at this point carrying through a medium finish. Could actually be a bit more plush, and I don't normally say that. Overall, a very nice cab with good balance, and more a Bordeaux style than Napa. Decent QPR as well from LB.

Inky. The tannins are still quite firm, but no longer tight. Highly recommend decanting for an hour or more, still.

Must be at its peak. Layers of flavor, with a bright black currant note over oak and spice. Pure pleasure. Seemed to improve on Day 2.

Not very deep but good fruit and it gets smoother as it opens over 3 hours. Not sure it's great QPR but it was a pleasant bottle with some steaks.

Just to clear I do not hate this wine.

A very nice cab at a Last Bottle price. Needs at least a year or two to let the tannins integrate. Wish I bought a couple more

Really nice cab for the Last Bottle Price. First bottle without food. Second bottle was much better with a Medium Rare New York Strip.

Either it's flawed or it's going to take 24 hrs to unwind. At one hour it burns like shellac. Also purchased from Last Bottle. To be continued

A serious cab with a not so serious price. Another great QPR from Last Bottle. Just wish I bought more than three bottles of this wine.
