Decanted about three hours. Floral, raspberry and blueberry notes scream from the glass. On the palate, blackberry and black cherry dominate, with a long, sweet, tannic finish. Still a lot of life left in this one.
Wonderful nose of wild berry fruit pouring out of the bottle. Great color. Plenty of life left in this wine, with quite a bit of tannin and some heat noticable right out of the cellar. Warmed up a bit, it opens spectacularly with briary fruit on the palate and a nice lengthy finish. I love this proprietor's zins! Dare I say it was a perfect match for my wife's meatloaf (even she agreed!) Hopefuly I'll get more of that and she'll let me buy more of this wine!
Purple hue, this wine has been filtered, medium weight. Pretty ripe black cherry, with a little floral-violet. Very round in mouth hints of mocha an tobacco leaf with some nice focused cherry fruit. This is a lighter elegant styled Zinfandel. I would definitely purchase this again.
