Black cherry, black raspberry, and blackberry pie up front. Notes of dark chocolate, black licorice, violets, minerals, and toasty oak. Rich wine, still has some firm acidity and tannins on the back end, definitely can sit for a few more years.

Drank in Bayfield. This was really really good stuff any way you look at it. Great depth, flavors balance, etc. You name it. Not sure why I'm not giving it higher score, but just enjoyed the heck out of drinking it (over two nights).

A dark beautiful wine. PnP with decant and followed over consumption. Spice box and floral notes on the nose, some cinnamon, along with mineral earthy notes, faint iron metallic notes. Red berry fruit but not overly acidic, hints of dried black fruit, decent medium to long finish where blackberries are prominent. 30 min in red cherries and chocolate milk/mocha emerge. This wine definitely in my style, but for the red cherries, would have pegged it eastern Oakville, but this is why I'm professional at something else!

Of course its young . Big , bright and delicious. The tannins and the fruit are seamlessly integrated to produce an opulent , but not over the top, example of California Cabernet that works perfectly for my taste.

A little tannic at the beginning, but opened up nicely over the course of a few hours. Dark fruit, carmel and a hint of licorice. Slightly tart on the finish, which is not terribly long. Solid Napa Cab, but not as complex as some others in this price range.

With its purple black hue, the Moulds Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is our only single vineyard designate wine this Fall. We are grateful to Steve and Betsy for the addition of Cabernet Franc to the vineyard, as it builds beautifully in to this favorite of ours. Its rich and smokey bouquet incorporates aromas of boysenberry, molasses and hoisin sauce. Perfectly ripe, lush and balanced flavors of blackberry and plums on the palate prepare you for the velvety, precocious and strong, yet cerebral finish.

Really improved with a 1 hr decant.
Dark fruited, blackberry,
Firm yet integrated tannins. Long finish with pleasant spice.

Big, rich, with all the right stuff there. Dark fruit flavors, chocolate, some spice, great mouth feel. It's a good one.

- It's in total harmony and has flavours of dusty and black pepper with a medium/full body. Silky texture with a long finish.

Corked. Disappointing because Behrens does good stuff and this is normally a nice wine.
