Ise of Jura Tasting (Chicago, Illinois, USA): Medium-dark amber color. Richer, rounder nose than the "Origin" 10 Years Old, with aromas of honey, lemongrass, ripe pear, salted cashews, and butterscotch hard candies. This is very mineral-driven at the front of the mouth, with some apple and cinnamon notes at midpalate. In comparison to the nonexistent finish on the "Origin," this has a rich, slightly sweet warmth that fills the back of the mouth, with some lingering ashy flavors and a faint cocoa note. Fuller than the "Origin" but still a bit lightweight for my tastes.
