Aromas of cherry, raspberry and violets. The flavors match adding a bit of oak. A big wine but the barely-noticeable alcohol is matched with medium acidity and light tannins. Drinking well now, tasty overall, should last a few more years.

Attractive in the glass with a fairly translucent ruby color, the nose is all about the fruit, with cherries, plums, and a touch of fig. The flavors carry through on the palate, and this wine is fairly high on the delicious scale with all that sweet fruit. Eminently drinkable, but the 15%+ alcohol does come through a little too much and the acidity is a little less than I'd prefer. On the positive side, the tannins are mild and smooth, and the mouthfeel is excellent. The finish is on the medium short side, but stays delicious throughout. I acquired this particular bottle through LBW for $18 delivered, and for that price it is a solid value.

P&P. Deep dark "bordeaux blend" as in Pomerol: 80+%merlot, opaque purple, with legs. Fruit-forward and a bit sweet on the first taste but with oak/vanilla, leather, chocolate, and a pleasant bitterness at the close. My wife thought it was a bit like a port, and I see what she meant. Not at all subtle, possibly has hidden depths that a little air will bring out.

Fruit and floral components on the nose and palate which a bit of buttered popcorn on the nose as well. Long finish of fruit transitioning to toasted oak at the end. Turns more floral and less oaky with breathing. Very smooth and balanced. Not incredibly complex but very well made.

Young & oaky on the pnp but opens up after a day or two of breathing. Juicy cherries, chocolate and oak aromas. The palate matches with light acidity & medium tannins. Young/oaky now but has good promise as things integrate with another year or two of age.

Finally coming in to its own. Vanilla has faded, leaving intense, smooth fruit.

Medium Body, tannin nicely integrated with the red fruit profile. Heat on finish a detractor.

Rich and dark black fruit. Full body with balanced acidity. A really big wine, but still food friendly with a mushroom risotto and short ribs.

As before: black fruit, oak, leather, chocolate, cardamom; intense, full-bodied and a trifle hot, with fine tannins and a long finish.
