Similar to the prior bottle, and this is my last. Getting a bit tired but this bottle was a bit more lively than the prior one about 9 months ago. Drink up!!

Menthol and cherry nose. Lots of black cherries, like soda without the fizz, mostly gone tannins, a touch of green, good tart acid and a medium length finish. Still good, but seems to be starting the downhill phase.

Semi-translucent cranberry red. Baked cherry pie, cedar and spice nose. Medium bodied, cranberries, nutmeg, bing cherries, well integrated tannins, eucalyptus/mint, good acid, and a really nice medium to long finish. So well made and drinking great right now.

Candy apple red. Red fruity nose with a touch spice. Medium bodied, cranberries, pine needles, cherry cola, barely there tannins, good acid, and a medium to long finish. Reticent the first night, but singing on night 2.

Topping out the Woot Cellars list for me at this point, I think! Medium body, with some tannin coming out after air has a bit of time to work its magic. The nose is full of fruit, herbs, and a little something I couldn't put my finger on. I didn't get any bell pepper (dammit). Palate is zippy and mineraly. Great wine, and will probably pick up a few more next time they come around on woot.

opened n poured 2 hrs before tasting. easy drinking cab franc with notes of green pepper and plum, not the most refined but very enjoyable. reminded me of the hahn cab franc from santa lucia.

As Woodsy Owl would say, "Wow! Impressive cedar/eucalyptus note on this bad boy!" (OK, what he actually would say is more like, "Give a hoot, don't pollute!". But anyway ...)

PB22 pretty much nailed this one. Opened my bottle weeks ago and enjoyed the first half and capped with Ar. and back to the cellar with no notes, and forgot about it. Digging around and found and finished it off recently, it had only gotten better. I'll be looking for the next offering.

Decant for at least an hour. Green pepper typical of cab franc up front, followed by dark fruit, maybe cherry. Light bodied with mild tannins. Enjoyable, good for the price.

This was a deep, dark red. The nose starts with green vegetal notes, mainly the green pepper that I associate with Cab Franc. But with fruit and floral notes as well. There were floral notes with dark fruit, mainly plum, on the palate. This had a real nice acidity, especially when paired with the beef short ribs that we were having for dinner. But it was not too acidic to sip on its own to finish off the bottle, which we did. The floral notes are typically violet.
This opened up nicely over the time we had it open. It hangs together very well. It has a little more age at release than many Woot Cellar wines, and that seems to help. This should have a good drinking window, but it does not need a year or more before you open. Just a decent decant.

Still doing pretty well, but it didn't quite have the savoury warmth that it's had in the past. Good, but probably time to drink up.

Yum, still savoury and delicious. Earthy plum/cherry with a nice sage finish. Excellent on night 2 as well.

Really has improved with age. Vegetal and fruit flavors. Smooth finish. To bad , it's my last bottle.

Much more grassy/earthy this time around, but still very nice. Still would qualify it as "vibrant".

Deliciousness! Earthy and mineral with something I can't quite place. Just so savoury. Middle weight, nice acid balance. Good with absorption pasta.

Raspberry, cherry, a hint of bell pepper, and a nice dusty finish. Great wine on PnP and a nice acidic structure to keep it going a long time.

Nice but not overwhelming nose, full of red fruit, very little "green", relatively soft tannins, and a pleasant finish. Rather simple but very tasty.

Real nice aroma, good strawberry flavor and some acid. A very good example of a 100% Cab Franc at a great QPR.

Light like the first toothy, but a touch of bark? Perhaps its the Cab Franc coming thru?
