I drank this right before drinking the 2012 Pahlmeyer Sonoma Coast Chard pairing it with a seafood raw bar, King crab legs, and broiled lobster.
I am partial to Chablis and this is as close to it as I will get with to it in Napa. Very clear yellow with a hue of lime green on the glass. The nose was very aromatic with stone fruit, green apple and hints of crushed limestone. The fruit was consistent on the pallet with a nice crisp and refreshing acidy & slight minerality that finishes with sour apples and a little hint of honeydew.
Too bad Pahlmeyer stopped making this wine.

Pure, refined and crisp...this unoaked Chardonnay has many characteristics of a Sauvignon Blanc but with more weight and character. Some hints of lychee and golden delicious apple with a surprisingly long finish. Nice acidity that is balanced.

Pear and a touch of vanilla, crisp balanced not to acidic, great alone or with food. That's what un-oaked chard is supposed to taste like... Esp a good one like this.

Excellent Chardonnay considering its age. Faded a bit so drink up if you have it in your cellar. Crisp, long finish of melon, lime and hint of grass.

Crisp and lean just like you'd expect from an unoaked chard. Nice floral noted and medium bodied again without the buttery finish of an oaky version.

Smooth and rich. Apricot and melon infused with gentle acidity and minerality. Medium long complex finish.
