This is a basic, everyday drinking cabernet for those who like cab. Not much depth to the flavor but enough tannins to keep it interesting. Costco priced it at $11 in our area (Chicago) so scoop it up if you can find it. It has quite a bit of pulp with the last pour or two so be warned. Maybe that's how they got the tannins to register?

Not much bouquet, being so young. Tasted very pure, balanced, and inoffensive. Medium body. The 14.2% alcohol was not a problem. I wish I could have detected a tiny bit of oak, but it was very drinkable with lasagna and, the second day, with a hamburger. Well worth the price, a bit over $11.

I usually don't like California cabernet, but I wanted to try this one before it was all gone from Costco. It was great with lasagna, (I usually go for Chianti), and wasn't too ripe, too oaky or sweet. It had good fruit, very drinkable, and well balanced. Seamless. Well worth the price. I'll see what it's like on Day 2!

Decent enough wine. Nothing spectacular, but not swill either.

86-87. Understated red fruit. Light bodied but balanced. Pleasant wine, nothing more.

Ok. Light bodied, acidic. Took several hours after decanting to smooth out and reveal the cassis and black fruit.

Still one of the best QPRs on the shelf today. Cassis and oak with cherries.

At $13 this is an astounding value. It's a classic California cab with lots of oak and fruit. Tastes like it should be in the $20-30 range.
